About Sound Pure
Sound Pure is an internationally recognized
boutique guitar shop and pro-audio destination in downtown Durham, NC, home to
a Grammy-nominated recording studio. We represent the finest luthiers, custom
builders and recording equipment manufacturers in the world.
Why This Job Is Different
This is a creator’s playground. Every day,
rare electric and acoustic guitars, boutique amps and world-class studio gear
come through our doors, and you get to decide how the world sees them. You’ll
have real creative latitude, a building full of gear, and a team that loves
what it does. If you want to build your portfolio and your skills somewhere
fun, fast and creative, this is the place.
What You’ll Do
This is a high-velocity role: we want a
steady, daily stream of great content, not a few polished pieces a month.
•
Create daily: shoot and edit short-form video and photography covering our electric
guitars, acoustic guitars, and recording and pro-audio gear
•
Cut for each platform: Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook and YouTube
•
Post across all platforms, with direction from our growth and guitar teams, writing captions that
speak to players, collectors and engineers
•
Engage: monitor comments and DMs, and route sales inquiries to our gear
specialists
•
Learn what works: track saves, shares and clicks, and make more of what performs
•
Back up the studio: step into our product photo booth when our studio photographer is out
•
Keep it organized: maintain a clean photo and video library, and help with inventory data
entry and general support as hours allow
Requirements
•
Video:
proven shooting and editing experience, with a portfolio of short-form content
•
Tools:
a video editor (Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut or CapCut), plus Lightroom
and Photoshop
•
Speed:
fast, modern workflows that keep content flowing daily
•
Self-led: you run with ideas, execute without being micromanaged, and take
direction well
•
Organized, with a sharp eye for color, light and detail
•
People skills and
communication, with consistent follow-up and
follow-through
•
Enthusiasm for guitars,
recording gear and music
•
Reliable transportation, on-site
in Durham, and the ability to lift 75 lbs
Nice to Have
•
Guitar skills: a big bonus if you
can play on camera and film yourself
•
Familiarity with AI tools for
creative content, copy and video editing
•
Audio, recording or engineering
experience
•
Copywriting skills
•
Inventory, data-entry or admin
experience
Benefits & Perks
•
Creative freedom and room to grow
into our media and marketing team
•
Steep employee discounts on
high-end guitars and pro-audio gear
•
Take-home gear and limited access
to our Grammy-nominated studio
•
4% company-matched 401(k) for
eligible employees after one year
•
One week of paid vacation in the
first year (after 90 days, prorated to hours worked)
•
Full-time: paid major holidays, a
flex holiday and your birthday off (after 90 days)
