The person Sound Pure is seeking to fill a Leadership role functioning as a sales manager, recruiter, and company wide integrator. We are seeking an individual with the contacts and experience within the industry, that has the capability to increases sales performance and sales team membership from day one. Our corporate sales office is located in Durham, NC.
This position is not an entry level specialist position. Prior Consultative Selling experience AND musical product industry knowledge and connections are required for this position.
Ten (10) years minimum sales experience in a directly relevant musical product industry, with a preference of 15+ years. The expectation is the candidate will have a long “rolodex” of manufacturer, customer, and even team member prospect that can immediately be called on once the candidate becomes a member of the Sound Pure team.
Training will be provided as required (and can be provided remotely, to a large extent), but the expectation is that for this position, the person will be autonomous, resourceful, and a self-starter. Sound Pure has a comprehensive digital handbook, and series of videos to train on our operational procedures.
Compensation: Pay will depend on experience level, and will ideally be based on a profit-sharing structure.
Position is full time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Sales Manager, Trainer, and Coach – Managing weekly meetings, one-on-ones, goals/goal setting, performance reviews, sales competitions. Oversee the overall growth in size of sales team, per-sales person productivity, and sales-person tenure.
Recruiter - Identifying and Marketing Positions, responsible for building a growing pipeline of recruits and potential employees by way of a “Virtual bench” of prospects
Top-grading Leader – Coordinating and/or conducting initial phone screens, organizing team round robin interviews, Top-grading, Candidate Selection
Human Resources – Scheduling, Reviews, PTO, Performance Reviews, On-boarding Paperwork and On-boarding coordinator, Termination paperwork and off-boarding
Training Coordinator – oversees and personally conducts much of new hire training and on-boarding, updates and maintains training program
Integrator – General Manager, coordinating functions across Sales and Administration Buildings, Conducting Special Projects
Manufacturer Relationships – Oversee the growth of the business by way of special manufacturer relationships, seeking special deals/discounts, and Sound Pure programsPosition is Performance-Based: Meet and exceed weekly sales metrics.
Other Expectations:
Utilize all available resources to extend opportunities to prospects and attempt to turn prospects into new customers.
Participate with management and internal team to support marketing program.
Expand company's existing customer reach by utilizing candidate’s pre-existing relationships and contacts (this should be the predominant source of candidate sales, at least initially).
Identify potential growth, opportunities for our company through industry trends and advise accordingly.
Self motivated.
Ability to perform unsupervised.
Attend required weekly department and sales meetings in person (or if remote, by video conference).

OTHER JOB QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Strong computer skills (Proficient in MS Office and/or Google Documents, and ability to learn new systems quickly).
Comfortable working with little to no direction; must be self driven and self starter - takes initiative to get job done.
Demonstrate capability to develop strong interpersonal work relationships and team communication skills.
Demonstrate time management and organizational skills.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly as well as concisely by phone and email.
Management (independently) of majority of customer support related issues for customers (with supplemental use of manufacturer and in-house support where needed).
Can sell existing lines and products without need for a larger quantity of lines/manufacturers not presently represented by Sound Pure (although some may and can be added).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum ten (10) plus years outside sales experience in relevant musical product industry. (This is not an entry level sales position), 15+ years of sales AND musical product industry experience is preferred.
Prefer individual with established customer base in music industry (extensive knowledge of Sound Pure’s product lines in one more more key areas: Pro Audio, Acoustic and Electric Guitars, and/or Drums).
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree (can be in Business Administration, Communication, or related field) strongly preferred, but not required if all above qualifications are met.
