Initial Compensation: This is a commissioned sales position. Compensation includes a competitive base salary variable commission. The commission is uncapped.  Current year 1 on-target total compensation ranges from $28,000 to $32,000, following training (paid, at a lesser rate)
Commitment: Full time

Position Summary
Sound Pure is looking for sales driven individuals with a thirst for knowledge and a desire to build rich relationships, while discussing the world of recording and professional audio equipment. The position is located on-site in our downtown Durham, NC office. This sales position will be based in our Pro Audio Division, consisting primarily of recording products such as microphones, preamplifiers, studio monitors, outboard equipment, and digital audio interfaces and software with a slant towards high-end, serious analog hardware.

The Opportunity
During your initial training period, you will develop deep and wide knowledge of professional audio equipment across many areas, including manufacturers, manufacturing techniques, tonal characteristics, and the matching of these to customer interests and recording signal path desires. Once certified as a Sound Pure Pro Audio Sales Specialist (time varies based on your background and experience), your attention will turn entirely toward proactively utilizing your sales skills with potential clients and developing relationships with them. Your primary job responsibilities will include:

  • Achieve/Exceed Sales targets.
  • Maintaining the CRM (Customer Relationship Management Software), including Logging all customer interactions, Updating customer profiles, and Maintaining up-to-date follow-up tasks for customers
  • Building productive relationships with customers and prospects.
  • Master available sales tools, products, processes and systems.
  • Using proactive and consultative phone selling techniques.
  • Developing and applying an understanding of Sound Pure's product offerings, processes, and customers.
  • Developing and maintaining extensive and deep knowledge of professional audio and recording products
  • Achieve/Exceed all other sales related measurements
